Tirabad Church
Phil Jones (c) 2005
Dedication: St. David (?)

At the time of my visit (2003/4) there appeared to be plans to convert the church, but with facilities to hold services in a part of the conversion. Certainly the fabric of the Church had seen better days, the building is rather plain, probably a new build in the early 18th century, with perhaps later alterations. There seems little evidence of an earlier church on this site. The name Tirabad probably means abotts house, so there is evidence of early Christian origins in the area. The approach to the church is through the housing estate, with a gateway on the corner of the road in the estate.
