Llanlleonfel Church
Phil Jones (c) 2005
Dedication : ?

Located off the A483 to the west of Garth on top of a hill, in a circular enclosure, probably of ancient origin, this shale-stone built church was rebuilt by R. J. Withers in 1874/6 , a central mounted bell tower was moved to the end and only two of the three bells rehung after it is said that the weight of the three was too much for the structure. Another of the Llangammarch group of Churches (Llangammarch Wells, Llanfechan, Llanganten).
