Brecon Cathedral

Situated on the B4520 Brecon to Upper Chapel road in the Pendre area of Brecon. With a parking area, it also offers a shop and cafe. The Cathedral itself is an imposing building which has served as parish Church and in 1923 became the Cathedral Church of the newly formed Brecon and Swansea Diocese. The site has a long association with Christianity going back over a thousand years. The building contains many items, including a 12th century font, a cresset stone, 17th century tomb of Sir David Williams of Gwernyfed, and the Havard Chapel, which houses the Regimental Colours of the Royal Regiment of Wales. It is the venue for several choral events throughout the year.
